About — Emberville DB

Emberville DB is an unofficial fan site dedicated to Emberville, a Action RPG / Dungeon Crawler on Steam developed by Cygnus Cross. Our goal is simple: fast, exact answers to player questions — what something is, where to get it, how to beat it — with sources and last-verified dates on every factual page.

How We Handle Facts

Every page labels how its information is known — official sources, our own testing, or community reports — and shows when it was last verified. During the pre-release period we publish only what official material supports; hands-on pages follow once we can test the game ourselves.

The Editorial Policy in Full

No invented facts. If a value is not in an official source or our own testing, the page says so instead of guessing. Unknown fields stay empty.
Four provenance levels. Confirmed Official (linked official material) → Tested In-Game (our own hands-on testing in a public build) → Preview Source (press and creator previews, clearly attributed) → Community Report (player reports with the source linked). Every published page carries its level as a badge.
Third-party material is never presented as our testing. The "Tested In-Game" label can only exist after we have personally verified something in a publicly playable build — starting with the October 19–26 demo.
Every page lists its sources with links, and the date we last checked them. When a patch changes a fact, the page is re-verified and the date moves.
Conflicting information is not silently overwritten — observations from different builds are kept side by side with their versions.
No placeholder pages. Empty categories stay visibly empty with pointers to real content rather than being filled with generated filler.
