Emberville Guides, Builds & Database

Verified guides, game data and tools for Emberville.

What is Emberville?

Emberville is an isometric, pixel-art action RPG by Cygnus Cross, coming to Steam. You wake with no memories inside the Vitromotus — an endless magical underground prison built to confine society's unwanted, where death no longer lasts because of a mysterious power called kymia, born from emotions.

Fighting is real-time action combat that rewards positioning and timing, with weapon-bound combos across melee, magic and ranged styles. A flexible combat class system lets you switch class at any time and inherit passive and active skills from every class you have learnt — so your character becomes a hybrid no single class could offer.

Between dives you rebuild the ruined town of Emberville. Rescue survivors, befriend townsfolk, and use gathering and crafting professions to produce gear, potions, food and tools. Your own estate adds buildings, furniture, plants and decorations — and the game ships with a character creator covering hair, beards, facial features and colors.

Why you can trust this site

Emberville changes fast, and most guide sites treat that as someone else's problem. We treat verification as the product: every factual page answers three questions — what do we know, how do we know it, and when did we last check.

Confirmed Official

Straight from official material — the Steam page or Cygnus Cross channels, linked on the page.

Tested In-Game

Verified firsthand by us in a publicly playable build. Nothing carries this label before October 19, because we have not played the game yet.

Preview Source

From press or creator preview builds. Useful, but previews can differ from launch, so it is labeled, never passed off as our testing.

Community Report

A player report with the source linked, not yet reproduced by us. Treated as a lead, not a fact.

When a patch changes a number, the page gets re-verified and the date moves. When we do not know something, the page says so — you will never find an invented stat on this site.

Emberville FAQ

Direct answers to the questions players ask most — every answer is sourced and carries the same verification standard as the rest of the site.

What is Emberville?
Emberville is an isometric pixel-art action RPG with town building, developed and published by Cygnus Cross for PC via Steam. You fight through the Vitromotus, an endless magical underground prison, and rebuild the ruined town of Emberville with the survivors you rescue. It launches into Early Access on October 27, 2026.
When does Emberville release?
Early Access launches on Steam on October 27, 2026. Before that, a free public demo runs October 19–26 during Steam Next Fest, and press previews begin October 8. Cygnus Cross plans roughly 18 months of Early Access before the full version.
Is Emberville free to play?
No — it is a paid game, but the official plan commits to a one-time purchase with no microtransactions. The price has not been announced yet, it will not increase at full release, and Early Access itself may even be discounted. There is no pre-order; wishlisting the game on Steam gets you a launch notification.
Is Emberville co-op or multiplayer?
No. Emberville is single-player at Early Access launch — the official plan lists single-player support, and no multiplayer mode has been announced. If that ever changes, official channels will announce it first.
What platforms is Emberville on?
PC via Steam, with Windows and SteamOS + Linux versions listed. There is no Mac version and no console version has been announced. The requirements are modest: Windows 10 or newer, an Intel Core i5 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM, a DirectX 10 GPU and 4 GB of storage.
What is kymia in Emberville?
Kymia is the game's central mystery — officially described as a power born from emotions that brings those trapped within the Vitromotus back to life. It is why death no longer lasts inside the prison. Its gameplay role is still unrevealed.
Can you change your class in Emberville?
Yes, at any time. Better still, Emberville's combat classes inherit passive and active skills from other classes you have learnt, so one character can build a hybrid kit across classes. Class names and counts have not been announced yet.
Will Emberville get updates after launch?
Yes. The Early Access plan runs about 18 months with community input through Steam forums, Discord and live developer streams. The full version is planned to add modding support, better optimization, difficulty options, and more bosses, biomes and monsters.
Is Emberville DB official?
No. Emberville DB is an unofficial fan site — not affiliated with or endorsed by Cygnus Cross. Every factual page on this site labels how its information is known, links its sources, and shows when it was last verified.
