Emberville is a single-player game at Early Access launch. The official Early Access plan explicitly lists single player support, and neither the store page nor any announcement mentions co-op or multiplayer as of the verified date above.

The Early Access section on the Steam page describes:

Reading that honestly
- “No announcement” is the accurate phrase. Multiplayer is not promised and not denied — it simply is not part of any published plan. The full-version plans call out modding, optimization, difficulty options, more bosses and biomes; co-op is not on that list.
- Do not buy for co-op today. If a friend group is waiting for online play, wishlist the game and watch the patch notes — that is the only source that can settle it.
- The single-player design is the point. Town rebuilding, skill inheritance and the estate are all built around one character’s progression.

Cygnus Cross communicates through the Steam page, forums and Discord. When (and if) multiplayer is ever announced, it will appear there first — and this page will be updated with the new verified date the same day.
